yesterday, squared

a virtual day by day tour through the ground breaking life of
Lacy McCune

Hi everyone! I’ve added a few new drawings to my online shop that I am finally willing to part with. I’ve also changed around a lot of the pricing, aka made some items cheaper.

Thanks for taking the time to peruse it all!

I know I know, I’m breaking the square format rules. I guess I’ll have to change the name to Yesterday, Rectangled. But it just doesn’t have the same flow..
This is my sick day drawing :)

This is my sick day drawing :)

I started this drawing three months ago. When I recently found it while clearing out my art closet I decided that it was still relevant, so, I finished the thought.

Important events during my first day of school:
1. I found a pyramid.
2. I was bullied by a squirrel.

As of today I am attempting to bring back the daily square drawings (I can’t believe It’s been almost a year since I completed 365 days of these!) It’ll be a fun time to start daily drawings again as today was my first day as an official studio art major. I’d like to document the daily transformations that will take place in my work as the term moves forward. This time around I am expecting to take a more experimental approach as to embrace inconsistencies, new mediums and encompass a wider range of inspirations.
I’m crossing my fingers I’ll have enough time to keep up with this project since it’s in addition to other school work but I’d like to think that when it rains, it pours.
So, here we go!

being busy. making prints. this is the last piece in a set of four lithographs. the original art is completed in gouache and will make it’s emergence in the collaborative quarterly, Extra Extra, planned to release in just a few weeks! other than that, I have been experimenting with intaglio and have produced a few exciting (for me at least) pieces that I will soon share.
